Free Data Grid Licence for Non-Commercial Use
Last updated 1 October 2026
A non-commercial project does not need a budget to lose the trial watermark. Tell us an email address and the one domain it will run on, and a six-month key arrives by email: the full grid, every module, no card.
What you get
- The complete grid and every optional module, nothing held back.
- One named domain, with the watermark gone for six months.
- Renewable for free, for as long as the project stays non-commercial.
- No card, no invoice, no sales conversation.
Who it is for
A personal project, learning the grid or teaching it to someone else, an open-source project that is not itself a commercial product or service, and evaluating the grid before you decide whether to pay for it.
Who it is not for
A business's own product or an internal tool it runs on, and client work done for pay. Both of those are commercial use. Charities, not-for-profit organisations and government bodies are not covered either, whatever the grid is used for: an organisation's use is licensed on the pricing page, and the free key is for individuals.
Questions
When can I renew a free key?
From 30 days before it expires, using the same form, the same email address and the same domain.
Do subdomains count separately on the free tier?
Yes. A free key covers exactly the one hostname you name. A subdomain
such as app.example.com next to example.com
needs its own key.
What happens when a free key expires?
Nothing breaks. The grid keeps running and the trial watermark returns on that domain until you renew or upgrade.
Does upgrading to a paid licence mean installing the key differently?
No. A paid key uses the same format, so the install code you already have does not change; see the licence page for how a key is installed.
Is support included?
No. A free licence does not carry a support SLA. A paid licence includes a year of support.
