What happened

views.user was called as a function (so a host can switch the signed-in user without rebuilding the grid) and it threw. The permission check it was feeding treats the result as no user - every owner-gated action is refused, as if no one were signed in - rather than taking the check down with it.

The fix

The thrown error's message is quoted in the line. Make views.user return { id, name } or null without throwing.
