What happened

A spatial condition reached duckdbAdapter with an operand it cannot hand to the engine - a box across the antimeridian or upside down, a withinPolygon operand that is not a polygon, text that is not GeoJSON, WKT or hex WKB - or on a column the adapter does not read as geometry. The condition compiles to FALSE: the same no-row answer the grid's in-memory operator gives.

The fix

Give the operand the operator expects; split a box across the antimeridian into two withinBbox conditions joined by or.
