What happened

The row form was saving a new row (grid.form.openNew) and the record it would add resolves to no row key: either there is no rowForm.create and the form's values do not carry the key, or rowForm.create answered with a row that does not. The grid never adds a row it cannot identify, so nothing is added and the form stays open with the user's values.

The fix

Give rowForm.create a function that persists the values and returns the row as stored, key included. Or, where the key is known on the client, make it one of the form's fields or pass it in the defaults to openNew.
