What happened

The map view imports neither deck.gl nor MapLibre GL: the page supplies them, as the globals deck and maplibregl that their UMD builds set, or as options.libs. The one(s) named were not found (deck.gl must include MapboxOverlay), so the map's box was placed and left empty.

The fix

Load MapLibre GL and deck.gl on the page before creating the map view, or pass them in libs.
