What happened

The map goes into container (an element, or a selector that finds one), or beside, in a tab of, or popped out of the grid's own element for mode: 'split', 'tab' and 'popout'. The container named no element, the mode is not one of the four, or the mode needs the grid's element and the grid has none (a headless grid). No map was made.

The fix

Pass an element or a selector that finds one, or use a mode with a grid made by createGrid.

The smallest fix

createMapView(grid, { container: document.querySelector('#map'), geometry })
