What happened

A click on a feature (or binding.select(key)) asked the grid to select that row, and afterwards the row was not selected. A grid created without a selection option selects nothing, so the click would otherwise do nothing and say nothing; a beforeSelect handler that refuses the change has the same effect.

The fix

Create the grid with selection: 'single' (or 'multiple'), or check the beforeSelect handler.

The smallest fix

createGrid(el, { rowKey: 'id', selection: 'single', columns, rows });
