What happened

createLayout was given a theme that is not a non-empty string. No data-theme was written on the layout root, so the dashboard takes its theme from the nearest data-theme above it, or is light when there is none.

The fix

Pass a theme name: 'dark', 'light', 'auto' to follow the viewer's prefers-color-scheme, or a theme of your own. Leave it out to follow the page.

The smallest fix

createLayout(el, { theme: 'dark', windows });
