What happened

engine(name, condition) registers a filter that the board compiles into the engine query, and the value passed was not an object condition tree, so there was nothing to compile and the filter was not registered. Any filter already registered under that name is still in force - the call did not replace it.

The fix

Pass an object condition tree, or null to remove the filter registered under that name.

The smallest fix

board.filters.engine('status', null);   // remove
