What happened

The htmx adapter does not inline the Designer engine, so it needs a factory: one registered with registerDesigner(), or the script-tag global the Designer module's UMD build publishes (globalThis.LatticeGridDesigner.createDesigner). Neither was present, so the element was left un-mounted.

The fix

Load the Designer module and call registerDesigner(createDesigner), or load its UMD build as a <script> tag so globalThis.LatticeGridDesigner.createDesigner exists.

The smallest fix
