What happened

gantt.print() prints the split view: its table, timeline and any workload or histogram band. It was called while the plain view (or nothing) was mounted, so there is no table to page.

The fix

Mount the split view with gantt.mountSplit(el, opts) before calling print(), or use toSVG() / toPNG() for a picture of the plain view.
