What happened

The column's filter is a set filter (a value list) and the grid's source is a pushdown source, whose value list comes from the engine as a GROUP BY with a count. This adapter cannot answer that query - it has no executeGroupedAggregates(), declares aggregates without count, or the column is not a plain column it can group by - so the popup offers the text condition editor instead, with a note saying so, rather than walking every row the source reports to rediscover the values.

The fix

Use an adapter that implements executeGroupedAggregates() (DuckDB, ClickHouse and Elasticsearch do), give the column a lookup or filter.props.values list of its own, or filter it by condition.
