What happened

A derived grid's steps are filter, group, pivot, join, sort and topN. The step given named none of these, or was malformed, so it was refused and the grid was left as it was.

The fix

Give a step whose kind is one of filter, group, pivot, join, sort or topN, with the fields that kind needs.

The smallest fix

designer.commands.run(addDerivedStep, id, { kind: group, by: rep, measures: [{ of: amount, fn: sum }] });
