What happened

The derived grid reads a pushdown source whose adapter cannot answer this step (or one of its aggregations) in the engine. Computing it would mean working over the loaded window, which is a page of the relation and not the relation, so the step was refused by name and the grid was left as it was.

The fix

Use a step the adapter can answer (designer.pushdown.refusals(sourceId) lists what it cannot), or declare the capability on the adapter if it does support it.
