What happened

propose() asks a model through the host's own callback, and the designer was created without one, so it declined: no request was made and the result's spec is null.

The fix

Pass llm as the ask() callback (or llm: { ask, sendSampleRows }) in createDesigner's options.

The smallest fix

createDesigner(el, { llm: ask, sources, factories });
