What happened

The assistant asks over one source's columns, and every source the designer has is either hidden by the guardrails or has no field the guardrails allow, so nothing was asked and the result's spec is null.

The fix

Give the designer a source the guardrails allow with at least one allowed field.

The smallest fix

createDesigner(el, { sources: { sales: { kind: 'rows', rows } }, guardrails: { sources: ['sales'] } });
