What happened

propose() could not read a proposal out of what ask() resolved to: it was not a JSON object with a panels array, nor an object whose structured, spec or text carried one, so nothing was shown and the result's spec is null.

The fix

Have the model return { panels: [...] }, or wrap that JSON in { structured }, { spec } or { text }.

The smallest fix
