What happened

On a paged pushdown grid, more rows fell inside deck's view than viewportCap, and the engine cannot bin them into density cells (a lon/lat position, or an adapter without the spatial grid bucket). A random subset handed over as if it were the view would be the wrong picture, so the layers receive no rows and ctx.provenance.over carries the reason.

The fix

Zoom in until the view holds no more than the cap; narrow the grid's filter; raise viewportCap; or place rows by a geometry column over an adapter that bins it (duckdbAdapter({ spatial: true })).

bindDeck(grid, { deck, layers, position: { geometry: 'place' }, viewportCap: 50000 });
