What happened

applyView() takes the id of a view saved with saveView(), or a view object your application stored (with its spec). What it was given is neither, so the dashboard was left as it was.

The fix

Pass an id from dashboard.views(), or the stored view object.

The smallest fix

dashboard.applyView(dashboard.views()[0].id);
