What happened

geometry: '<col>' reads its placement through column.dataType.geometry, which only a type: 'geometry' column (the opt-in modules/geometry) declares. A column of any other type has no such accessor, so every row is counted as unplaced rather than read as text.

The fix

Import @toclocoinc/lattice-grid/modules/geometry and declare the named column type: 'geometry'.
