What happened

A polar scatter was given a brush mode other than 'select'. A band of points on a polar plot has no category set or value range to filter the grid by or to zoom into, so the only meaning a drag has is a selection; the other modes were refused rather than accepted and ignored.

The fix

Set brush: 'select', or remove brush.
