What happened

The chart's rows option was handed objects the grid does not hold, so there is nothing to read their values from. Those entries are left out; if none remain the chart draws nothing rather than a chart of nothing.

The fix

Pass rows obtained from the grid (grid.rows.get(i) or grid.rows.byKey(key)), or load the data into a grid and chart that grid.
