What happened
A fill object in a scheme, a per-row fill, or a basemap.fill could not be drawn: a gradient with fewer than two usable [offset, colour] stops, an unknown gradient kind, or a pattern name the module does not have. The mark was drawn in a solid colour (the series colour, or the first stop) rather than as nothing. The key's last part names the reason: stops, gradient or pattern.
The fix
Give a gradient at least two stops, [[0, '#0072b2'], [1, '#56b4e9']], and use 'linear' or 'radial'; name a pattern 'hatch', 'crosshatch', 'dots' or 'grid'.
The smallest fix
createChart({ grid, container, type: 'bar', x: 'team', y: 'hours', scheme: [{ gradient: 'linear', stops: [[0, '#0072b2'], [1, '#56b4e9']] }] });
