What happened
A reader grabbed the handle of a chart mark that stands for several rows (a bar summing a category, or a grouped mark) with editable on. There is no single cell to write the dragged value to, so nothing was written; the chart says so under the plot.
The fix
Chart one row per mark, or set editable: { distribute: 'proportional' } (every row scaled by one factor) or 'first' (the whole difference on the first row) to say how a new total is shared between the rows. The measure must be reduced with sum or avg.
The smallest fix
createChart({ grid, container, type: 'bar', x: 'region', y: 'sales', editable: { distribute: 'proportional' } });
